Dress Requirements

Students must come to class dressed in the proper dance attire to ensure bodylines are clearly visible to the instructors for safe and proper instruction. Remember, taking pride in your overall appearance will contribute to greater confidence and success as a dancer.  

Students should have hair tied back and off the face for all classes.  ALL Ballet students without exception must have hair in a neatly secured bun.  **If students have more than one class a night, please ensure hair is properly secured before the first class.**  Thank you.

Ballet

Budding Dancers

--Any colored bodysuit and pink ballet tights.  Pink ballet slippers with elastics.  Skirts are allowed. BOYS – Any pants/shorts, t-shirt and black ballet slippers. 

Pre-Primary, Primary, Grade 1 and Grade 2

--Any black or pink sleeveless bodysuit.  Note: Exam students are required to have a Pink Mondor bodysuit without seam and gather for their exam.  BOYS – Black pants/shorts  and fitted black or white t-shirt.

--Pink Mondor ballet tights and pink ballet slippers with elastic.  Character Shoe Gr.1&2 – Black 1”heel with elastic.

Grade 3-Advanced

--Any black or navy blue bodysuit.  Note: Students taking an exam are required to wear a navy blue bodysuit with seam and gather chosen by instructor.  BOYS – Black pants/shorts and fitted black or white t-shirt.

--Pink ballet tights and pink canvas ballet slippers with elastic.  Character  Shoe –Black Cuban style 1-1/4” heel w/ elastic.

Jazz

Primary, Pre-junior, Junior 1-3

--Any black sleeveless bodysuit. 

--Black, beige or pink tights.*   Fitted shorts worn over top of bodysuit and tights are acceptable. 

--Black or beige slip-on jazz shoes or foot undies.  Note: Black slip-on jazz shoes are required for Adapt exams.

Pre-Inter 1-3, Intermediate, Advanced and Teen

--Any bodysuit or fitted tank top is acceptable (no baggy t-shirts or tank tops).

--Tights, fitted shorts or Capri pants.

--Black or beige slip-on jazz shoes, foot undies or bare feet (absolutely no socks).

Tap

Primary, Pre-junior, Junior 1-3

--Any black sleeveless bodysuit.  BOYS – Black pants or Capri shorts with fitted t-shirt. 

--Black, beige or pink tights; however, black is required for Adapt exams. Shorts or Capri pants may be worn. 

--Black slip-on style tap shoes are recommended. Beige shoes can be worn for class.

Pre-Inter 1-3, Intermediate, Advanced and Teen

--Any bodysuit or fitted tank top is acceptable (no baggy t-shirts or tank tops).

--Tights, fitted shorts or Capri pants.

--Black tap shoes.

Lyrical/Modern/Contemporary

--Any bodysuit or tank top, shorts or Capri pants.  Slip-on jazz shoes, foot undies or bare feet.

Hip Hop

--Any top, Capri pants or sweatpants and non-marking runners (Absolutely NO outside footwear).

Acro/Stretch

--Any bodysuit, tights or leggings.  Absolutely no baggy clothing.  Bare feet or gymnastic shoes can be worn.
