Airborne Dance Centre's policies are to help you understand what is expected of you as a member and what you can expect of us in return. They are intended to ensure the safety of everyone at the studio and give each student the support to achieve success. Let's keep the studio clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone!

Verbal Etiquette and Respect - Students are required to address all teachers and staff by using Mr. or Ms. Proper etiquette in the classroom is expected at all times.  If late for class, please excuse yourself and take your place as quickly as possible.  If for any reason you have to leave the class, excuse yourself before doing so.  Upon the completion of class, thank your instructor before leaving. This also applies to guest teachers and substitutes.  Students are expected to treat the teachers and staff of Airborne Dance Centre with proper respect at all times and shall receive the same from Airborne teachers and staff in return.

Washrooms - Please make sure your children use the washroom before class to minimize interruptions and maximize the valuable learning time available to them.

Respect for Property - Please refrain from chewing gum, horseplay, hanging off the barres and touching the mirrors anywhere in the studio.  ***Anyone found defacing the property in any way will be dismissed from the studio.***

For their own safety, students will not be allowed in any dance studio without a teacher or adult present.  Younger children should be supervised at all times.

Attendance and Punctuality - Please make every effort to be present at all of your classes and arrive in a timely fashion. If you are going to be absent please notify the studio by email adancec@shaw.ca or call (403) 289-2811.

Missed Classes - There is no refund for missed classes.  Missed classes may be made up in a class of the same or lower level or in a different discipline.  Please ask your instructor or Ms. Candice which make-up class you should attend.

Notices - The studio is not responsible for missed notices due to absence.  It is your responsibility to check your email, the Airborne website, or the bulletin board in the front of the studio each day you arrive.

Viewing Classes - Spectators are not permitted in class, with the exception of parent viewing weeks (November and March). Provided students are not being distracted, parents are invited to view classes through the observation windows at the teacher’s discretion.  Parents, please do not enter a class or stand in the doorway, as it is distracting for the students.  If at anytime you need to speak with a student while they are in class, please speak to the instructor before doing so.

Speaking with Instructors - If for any reason you have to speak to an instructor while they are teaching and it will take more than a few minutes, leave a message at the front desk or ask them to contact you when they are done teaching.  Please respect the class time of other students.

Jewelry and Other Valuables - For safety reasons, no jewelery should be worn in any class.  Please leave all valuables at home. The studio is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles.

Enjoy and Learn - Above all, this is a place for your children to learn and enjoy their dancing.  Our goal is to give every student equal opportunity to achieve success. With your help we can make Airborne Dance Centre an even more enjoyable place!  Remember, for many students the studio is a home away from home that we want to keep as welcoming as possible.

We genuinely appreciate your anticipated cooperation. Thank you.
