Classes
At Airborne Dance Centre we are committed to providing quality dance education for all levels and experience. To enhance the overall development of our dancers we empower them with versatility through our wide variety of dance styles and faculty members.
Every dancer has their own personal goals and we are dedicated to helping you reach yours! We hope to have the pleasure of sharing our passions with you!

BALLET
The foundation of technique begins with Ballet. Improves body alignment, grace and strength. Ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus.

BARRE
Various exercises done at the barre and centre to strength, correct placement and alignment of the body.
** Pre-Requisite Jazz**

MUSICAL THEATRE
This is your chance to learn how to act, sing and lipsync to your favorite musicals. Class is designed to help children explore creativity in song and character role playing.

JAZZ
Kicks, jumps and turns are prevalent to this physical and energetic dance form. Jazz Technique improves coordination strength and flexibility. ADAPT syllabus and free style work.

CONTEMPORARY
A series of free movements and unconventional dance steps. Improves body awareness and movement.

BUDDING DANCERS
An Introduction to dance. Learn a combination of simple jazz and ballet movements in a fun and energetic atmosphere. For Ages 3 to 4.

TAP
Rhythmical patterns of foot movements and audible foot tapping makes for “Happy Feet”. Improves agility, style and musicality. Based on ADAPT syllabus and free work.

HIP HOP
Dance to your favorite R&B music while learning the latest moves and grooves. This workshop setting makes it enjoyable for all!

ADULT BARRE
total body conditioning workout designed to tone your body, creating longer, leaner muscles. Minimal impact and high energy, this class is great for improving posture and toning.

LYRICAL
Lyrical dance is expressive, subtle and dynamic. Dancers attempt to tell a story through whole body movement.
**Pre-Requisite Ballet and Jazz**

ACRODANCE
Focuses on developing strong limber bodies. Increases balance, strength and flexibility. Learn exciting tricks like cartwheels, walkovers, aerials, contortion and balances.

2022 - 2023 Recreational Program Schedule
Dancers are placed into classes based on age, ability, and previous experience. These are broad guidelines; actual placement is decided by their instructors. Please respect the instructor’s knowledge of where your child should be placed in each year of their dance training.
*Dancers 12+ that wish to take classes other than contemporary, please contact the studio directly for class options.*

Note: It is mandatory for ALL dancers to attend competition rehearsals scheduled in the months of February, March and April with the exception of Family Break Feb 16-21. Rehearsals will be scheduled the weekend of March 25-27.
