Our competitive program is designed for the serious dancer. Being part of our competitive team requires great dedication and commitment from both the student and their parents. Competition rehearsals are held on weekends throughout the dance season which means longer studio hours and more expectations. It may sound daunting but the rewards are endless!

Competition teaches students to strive for their best and allows them to see the positive outcomes of their hard work. It also gives them opportunities to grow and learn through being critiqued on how they can improve. They will learn about responsibility, team spirit, and good sportsmanship by learning how to win honourably and lose graciously.

Competition is also wonderful for exposure and allows dancers the opportunity to perform multiple times in front of well-respected industry professionals and become accustomed to being in front of an audience. Our dancers learn professionalism and train to be a part of the entertainment industry.

Requirements to be on the competition team:
1. Willing to commit to dancing 4-5 hours per week and rehearsing on the weekends.

2. Must be registered in a minimum of 5-6 classes per week (2-3 ballet, 2 jazz and 1 barre or 1 Acro).  If students would like to compete in Tap, Lyrical, Hip hop, Contemp, Musical Theatre, Acro they must be registered in the class throughout the year.

3. Attend the Solo/Group Audition June 18-20

4. Attend the Competition Workshop Sept 3-5.

Other successes included dancing in music videos with Ariana Grande, Zayn, and more. Dancing on Lip Sync Battle, Hit the Floor, SYTYCD Canada and other TV shows/movies across the USA & Canada, and dancer/entertainers on-board cruise ships. Many of our students have also become successful dance teachers and choreographers.
