The health and safety of our dancers, our faculty and our visitors is very important to us. During this first phase of reopening (and all phases after) we will follow strict guidelines set forth by Alberta Health Services. As guidelines change, we will adapt our policies and procedures.

Measures that will be taken to minimize the risk of spread (as of June 2021) are detailed below:

Class Structure/Capacity:​

  • Class numbers will be limited to ensure adequate physical distancing at all times.

  • Classes are scheduled back to back for easy drop off/pick up for parents.

  • Space markers will be placed in our common areas and studios to ensure 2m physical distancing spacing requirements are adhered to at all times.

  • If students need to be isolated or prefer not to be with others, we have designated rooms for them to dance!


Before Leaving Home:

  • Please check your dancer’s temperature prior to coming to the studio. If they have any signs of fever (38 degrees or higher) please keep them home.


Signs of Illness:

  • No one with any signs of illness will be permitted inside the studio

  • If your dancer develops any of the symptoms below in or outside of the studio that could be related to COVID-19 they should either get tested for COVID-19 or wait out the 10-day quarantine period mandated by Alberta Health before returning to the studio. Symptoms include:

    • Fever

    • Cough

    • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing

    • Runny nose

    • Sore Throat


Drop Off/Pick Up

  • Only registered students will be allowed to enter the building. 

  • Dancers must be dropped off and picked up outside.

  • Masks must be worn when entering and exiting or waiting in common areas. (As per current restrictions) 

  • Dancers are encouraged to arrive 5-10 minutes before classes and be picked up promptly after their classes end.

  • Outdoor belongings to be brought into the building must be limited and dancers will bring all items into the studio with them.

  • Please come dressed ready for class - do not plan to change at the studio whenever possible.

  • Studio has 3 separate entrances/exits that will be utilized to help limit contact.

  • Parents or guardians with children under the age of 7 who need to remain close by to help child can wait in the designated waiting area - Limited to 1 person per child and Mask must be worn at all times.  Amount of patrons in waiting area will be limited, we kindly ask when in facility to limit the amount of touching and waiting time and when possible to wait outside or in vehicle. 


Additional Cleaning and Hygiene Procedures:

  • Full premises will be fully cleaned each evening.

  • Disinfecting of high touch surfaces will occur between each cohort change. This includes: desks, worktops, counter tops, ledges, lobby benches, sinks, faucets, toilets, handrails, ballet barres, interior door handles, exterior door handles, stereo knobs/buttons/surrounding areas.

  • Teaching aids (mats, props, yoga blocks etc.) must be brought by dancer and not shared (if required).

  • Acro (yoga) mats will disinfected before and after use - child will remain on individual mat. for entire class.

  • Employees, contractors, students and visitors are required to wear MASKS upon entering and exiting the building.  Masks do not need to be worn when dancing - dancers and teachers will be keep a safe distance apart at all times.  d, with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use approved hand sanitizer.

  • Washing hands with soap and water will be encouraged as often as needed and hand sanitizing stations will be placed at points of entry to the business and at other locations where people are known to place hands. 

  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Encourage respiratory etiquette (e.g., coughing or sneezing into a bent elbow, promptly disposing of used tissues in the trash) is followed.



Registration is accepted on a first-come first-served basis. The number of dancers per class is limited. A minimum enrollment of 6 is required. If low enrollment occurs, the class schedule is subject to change. Final draft of the schedule will be confirmed September 5, 2021. 

Dancers are placed into classes based on age, ability, and previous experience. These are broad guidelines; actual placement is decided by their instructors. Please respect the instructor’s knowledge of where your child should be placed in each year of their dance training.

A registration fee of $40/student or $60/family will be applied, and is non-refundable. To secure registration, a non-refundable deposit required. Deposit includes registration fee plus tuition for June 2022. 


​It is important students attend their classes on a regular and consistent basis to ensure individual progress, development and confidence. If a student misses classes, the fees are non-refundable. If an instructor is unavailable, as substitute will be brought in or the instructor will arrange for a make-up class on a future date.

NEW - The studio is required by the government to log absences and excuses. Please extend the courtesy of notifying us by email if child is going to be absent and the reason why to  Please make sure students arrive at least five-ten (5-10) minutes prior to the start time of class and are picked up promptly upon completion of class.  Student’s class level will be determined by Ms. Candice and/or the Instructor. If necessary, the instructor may recommend a student move to a different class to better suit the student’s needs. Parents will be notified of any changes within the first 2 weeks of classes.  


​Fees for regular classes are based on 34 weeks of instruction and are divided equally over ten months. Monthly fees are billed on the first of every month. Fees are non-refundable for missed classes.  Payment Policy: Payment methods accepted are Visa or Master Card, E-transfer or cash. Payments 7 days past due will be charged a service fee of $10.00 per week until payment is received. Declined Credit Card Payments are subject to a $25.00 service charge. Late payments entail extra time and potential complications, and we ask you to contact us immediately barring unforeseen accidents (card theft, etc.)

We accept withdrawals prior to February 1, 2022. Notification must be sent in writing 30 days prior to cancellation date to to stop future payments. Student withdrawals sent after February 1, 2022, will not be accepted and you will be required to pay monthly fees until May 1, 2022.

Recreational Program:
Open to students of all abilities. Recreational classes will participate in our winter and spring showcase.


Intensive Program:
Open to students looking for more training opportunities. Students are required to take all classes offered, participate in exams, in-studio workshops, and can join the competition team. Students on the competition team will attend four (4) competitions and the competition showcase. 

Private Lessons:
Private lessons are only available to students enrolled at Airborne. Privates are designed for students needing further instructor beyond class/choreography time. Instructors will inform students/parents if private instruction is necessary. Private Fees are $80/hr, gst included. Cancellation policy: 24 hours notice. Privates can be booked in 45, 60 and 90 minute increments and are payable on or before the day of the private.



It is important that students come to class dressed in the proper dance attire, where body lines are clearly visible to the instructors. This is necessary for safe and proper instruction. Remember, taking pride in your overall appearance will contribute to greater confidence and success as a dancer.

Students should have their hair tied back and off their face for all classes. Ballet students must have their hair in a neatly secured bun, absolutely no exceptions.
**If students have more than one class a night please ensure hair is properly secured before the first class.**

Any fitted clothing i.e. bodysuit, tank/half top, shorts or leggings. Bare feet. NO LOOSE CLOTHING.


(Exam Requirements for Grade 1 – Advanced are indicated)

Primary and Pre-Junior Ballet / Budding Dancers
Any sleeveless bodysuit with attached skirt. Pink ballet tights and Pink leather ballet slippers with elastics – Capezio Daisy Ballet Slipper

Junior 1 to Pre-Inter 3 (Grade 1 – 5 RAD Levels)
Any black or dark colored bodysuit.
Pink ballet tights and Pink leather ballet slippers with elastic.
Black character shoes and Skirt – to be purchased upon teacher request=][\\7
Character shoes - Grade 1&2 ½ inch heel, Grade 3-5 ¾ inch heel NOTE: Exam requirements – Micro fiber Navy Blue Mondor bodysuit with seams and gather in the front, Mondor light pink tights, light pink split soled canvas slipper - Sansha & So Danca are recommended. Canvas will be used for competition as well.

Inter 2 - Advanced 2 (Inter Foundation to Advanced 2 RAD Levels)
Vocational levels – dress code will be enforced.
Any colored bodysuit, black/dark is preferred.

Pink Mondor ballet tights. Pink Soft blocks with ribbons and elastics. Pink Pointe shoes (to be approved by instructor)

Note: Students taking an exam are required to wear a Black Pleated Ainsley Bodysuit.

BOYS – Black shorts(knees must be visible) or tights, fitted black or white t-shirt, Black socks black ballet slippers. Exam Attire: Gr 1-3-Navy shorts, fitted white t-shirt, black socks & leather ballet shoes. Grade 4 - Advanced (RAD Levels) Black male tights, fitted t-shirt & black sock with leather shoes.​

Jazz & Barre  
Primary, Pre-Junior, Junior 1 – 3
Any Black/pink/navy sleeveless bodysuit or fitted tank top and shorts.
Black, Beige or pink tights. Fitted shorts worn over top of bodysuit and tights are acceptable.
Black or beige jazz shoes or foot undies.
Note: Black slip-on jazz shoes, tights and bodysuit are required for Adapt exams.

Pre-Inter 1 – 3, Intermediate 2, Advanced 2
Any bodysuit or fitted tank/half top is acceptable (no baggy/loose clothing).
Tights, fitted shorts, capris or leggings.
Black or beige jazz shoes, foot undies, or dance socks.

BOYS – Black or dark shorts (knees must be visible), fitted t-shirt or tank, Black socks, black jazz shoes


Primary, Pre-Junior, Junior 1 – 3
Any Black sleeveless bodysuit
Black, Beige or pink tights however Black is needed for Adapt exams. Shorts or Capri pants may be worn.
Black slip-on style Tap shoes are recommended. Beige shoes can be worn for class.

Pre-Inter 1 – 3, Intermediate 2, Advanced 2
Any bodysuit, tank/half top, shorts, capris or leggings
Black tap shoes with laces, teletone taps

BOYS – Black or dark shorts (knees must be visible), t-shirt or tank, black socks, black tap shoes

 Lyrical/Contemporary/Musical Theatre (See Jazz requirements) 
Any bodysuit, tank/half top, shorts, capris or leggings. Jazz shoes, foot undies or bare feet. 

Hip Hop 
Any loose clothing, t-shirts, tanks, basketball shorts, sweatpants and non-marking indoor runners (Absolutely NO outside footwear).
