Introducing Marin McCue

March 21, 2017

We are proud to introduce motivational speaker Marin McCue!

A message from Marin,

Hi everyone. My name is Marin McCue and I will be at Airborne for a night of inspiration, support and self-development, on Tuesday March 21. I am a yoga teacher, spin motivator (at yyc cycle), soon to be author of my first book, life coach and business owner. I grew up as an elite athlete, and made my way to San Diego State University on a full-ride basketball scholarship straight out of Springbank High School. Growing up with big goals and high expectations for myself, I fell into a pattern of self-deprecating self talk and became consumed by anxiety, depression, self harm, an eating disorder, and an overall feeling of lack. After years of struggling with this darkness, which took me down a rabbit hole far away from my best self and optimal health, I began to study the mind, how I had gotten in my own way, and how to find my way back.

What started as a curiosity to coach myself out of stagnancy and self-destruction, has morphed into a passion and purpose in supporting others and sharing what I have learned.

I have been asked to come in and host a few sessions for your girls on Tuesday March 21. The reason I am writing to you today is that I want you to be informed about who I am, what your girls will be walking away with from this session, and how you can support this conversation to be more than just one night of inspiration.

Main topics we will cover:

  • The difference between the subconscious mind and the conscious mind, and how to strengthen the relationship between these two vastly different yet collaborative parts of YOU.

  • Law of Attraction – people remember how you made them feel more than what you actually said. You attract what you put out into the world. How to practice.

  • Focus less energy and attention on your initial reactions so you can invest more purpose and action in your Response (after the reaction).

  • Natural and easy ways to decrease stress the moment you feel the rabbit hole approaching.

  • The importance and healing process of being open and vulnerable with what you are struggling with. There is a difference between acknowledging there is a problem and assessing the steps to grow through it versus sitting in the energy of a problem.

  • The Goal Setter Mindset – rather than just setting goals, we need to be mindful of our mindset and structure we create to move towards our goals. I will share my 5 Step daily process, and will coach the girls to create their own Road-Map.

In one hour segments, three times, over the course of Tuesday night, I will guide the girls through the above points and allow time for them to journal and connect with themselves, as well as each other. If you are able to join your child for this hour of inspiration, you will be better equipped to continue the conversation at home and perhaps learn a thing or two for yourself.

If you and/or your child are unable to attend, and you see the benefit and possibility in these sessions, please reach out to let us know. We want to find creative ways to continue this work on mindset, awareness, balance, and overall self-development, and are open to your feedback and/or suggestions.

For more information about me and what I offer, feel free to check out my website, www.dopeame.com. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly, as I am happy to answer questions or create experiences specific to your needs.

I look forward to meeting you all. Bye for now.
